Gandma Murphy's B-day in Missoula - Truitt
Jeannette Rankin Hall. Rankin, a Missoula native, was a suffragist, pacifist, founding Vice President of the American Civil Liberties Union and the first woman elected to Congress, before women even had the right to vote in 1917. She voted against entering war in both the first and second world wars. "As a woman, I can't go to war and I refuse to send anyone else. I vote 'NO'" She was also a social worker. One of my heroes.
